It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

Church Camp

We dropped Riggs of for Church Camp...I would be leaving him here for 4 nights..the longest I have every been away from  him. With no phone calls or texts between us either. Only letters via snail mail that I had mailed last week...and the biggest kicker was that when I left him I was driving to Florida with the other 3 with my mom. I was going to be 12 hours away. Jeremy would be at home if he needed anything but still...it was hard....really hard.... to drop him off.....
We waited in line for the wagon to pick us up...and luckily we were in line with the Fischers.

The wagon arrived and took us to the Senecca TeePee village! Colin was waiting for us!

We got him settled in.....
I took a few more pictures......just longing to fill my camera with a few more images of my boy....

and then I said good bye...and pulled away......

when we reunited days later I asked him about the camp...what he did...what he liked...what he didn't..the memories he made...I soaked in his words....but I wasn't there so I will never it all...this was his experience....all his own....
I do know that the days that followed he seemed to cling to this song...that he learned there....a catchy rock song with these words....

Let it be known
That our God saves
Our God reigns
We lift You up up
Let it be known
That love has come
Love has won

and that makes my heart happy!

Fathers Day 2013

Fathers day.....a day I welcome with joy and sadness every year. Joy because my littles have a father who loves them and wants to be present and a part of their lives. He knows their favorite foods...colors...birthdays....he shares inside jokes with them...he knows them because he is present...for the big ...the little...the good and the bad.
PRESENT.....HERE.....IN THE MOMENTS
We celebrated with gifts, cards, hugs, kisses and thanks......
We invited the Hardys over for waffles.....

 and celebrated the Hardy dads......

and the sad.....well...fathers day is always etched with sadness for me...as my father is not present. It's been one thing to have have him present in my life...that's me...but when I look at my four littles...and see the beauty and how amazing they are...it hurts deeply that he would not want to be a part of the beauty and love they bring into this world. I don't get it...and I am not sure I ever will..but it hurts...on fathers day especially for some reason.  Happy Fathers Day to all the amazing fathers out there!

white out fathers day surprise!

It must be living in Kentucky but we just love going to the track! We were so excited for a night out with Brad and Jenna for night racing at Churchill Downs! All the night racing has a theme and this was the annual White Out!  We didn't tell the boys where we were going...this was part of their fathers day!
We had a car pick us up.....and we loaded up in the car and headed to the track!
It was so fun to get there...it was a sea of white for sure! The boys were loving their surprise!

These two are happy doing anything together.....but with a little bourbon and some races to bet...you can't go wrong!
and Jenna got me another tiny champagne bottle...just like at Oaks!
We had the best time....we always do when we are togther!

When night fell they and the band started they gave away light up glasses-white ones of course!

It was a fun night and a great way to being Fathers Day Celebrations!

North Basketball Camp

The boys spent a week at North Oldham Basketball camp and loved every second of it! It was a time to play ball....

Spend some time with North Oldham and being a mustang......

To hang with friends....they knew almost every one there!

And it was a time to shine! They came home with many, many awards and ribbons !
Way to go Hardy Boys!
We celebrated the last day of camp with lunch at Qudoba!

It was a fun week for sure!

COLOR RUN!!!!!

We got up this morning and were so excited to be heading downtown to the Color Run!

We got our race shirts, color packets and numbers and were ready to go!
It was so much fun to go through the colors!
It was so much fun! No timing chip....just happy people on a beautiful summer day!

By the time it was over we were covered and laughing uncontrollably!
It's going to be a tradition for sure!

Can't wait to add the girls in next year! They will love it!

Happy Color Run, Ya'll!

Court time

The court. The area in front of our house...the place where bicycles loop, motor cycles race, knees are skinned...and the Barbie Jeep reigns supreme! It's full of good memories...watching the littles in the court...playing...being little. I love it!
