Taylorsville 1/2 Iron Man

This morning Riggs, Lila and I got up extra early and headed to Taylorsville to see Daddy off in a half iron man. It was cool and rainy but everyone needs a good send off!

With claps and cheers he entered the water...and there we were left to wait for him. I love it when the kids have one on one time together...and as we waited Riggs and Lila enjoyed just that.  They have such a good time together...Riggs thinks Lila...or Lilly Johnson as he calls her...which he has shorted to Lilly John....is so funny ...and she is.

For example...Lila saw all the drift wood from the lake...and went up to every piece and said what she thought it looked liked. The child never uses the letter r...in any of her words by the way. So one piece was a dinoso (dinosaur)...and this piece was a deal (deer). Riggs just laughed and laughed. The funniest things was that there was this little girl with this teeny tiny puppy...Lila walked up to her...hands on hips and said "what in the wod" (what in the world)!....I thought Riggs was going to fall over laughing!

With Lila there, the time went by fast and before we knew it...we saw Daddy on his way to the finish of the swim!

Yhea Daddy!!!

Then he was off to transition to the bike....

He was off to bike and we headed home for a soccer game...wishing him luck and sending him love!

The soccer game was pushed back so we barely made it home before he did...but we did make it home in time to welcome him home with a "you did it" parade!!

All the littles came running and clapping...for cheers and hugs for Daddy!

We are so proud of him...the full Iron Man will be here before we know it!
