Back to school shopping
Well, as much as I hate to admit it....summer is coming to a close...the isles are filled with back to school supplies and we are already talking about teachers and classes and a new school year. Today we started with a little back to school shopping...it's just around the corner!

Back to school eve
Tonight as we get ready for bed.....I have all four of my littles...right here with me. I can reach out and hug them at any time.
Tomorrow morning these three will go off to school....what are Lila and I going to do...I am afraid she will be lost without them....
Putting SK to bed was tough....I knew this was the last night in her bed that she wouldn't have school carved into her life...she was happy and safe...and here....that is one that means the most tonight...here....
I put her tv timer on 10 minutes and when I went back up to check on her and turn the light off..this is what I found.....precious.
I turned her light out and kissed her sweet cheek and went down to make the preparations for tomorrow. New Clip Boards laid out....
Water bottles and snack ready to pack....
Clothes laid out....
Back packs packed and ready to go....
I love the Gator on the other side of Sk's bag....tutu and all!
and the table ready for breakfast.....
WHAS 11 will be here in the moring to broadcast live from our house as we go back to school. We are looking forward to a fun morning . It will be a welcome distraction as SK ventures out into the world on her own...well from 7-3 anyway! ;) Wish me luck!

Moma's back to school
I got up at 5 to make cheese grits, biscuits, and french toast casserole to take to the back to school breakfast for the teachers. This is a tradition at Goshen the day before school starts. I headed to school at 6 excited so see everyone and kick of the school year!
Amanda, Marcia and I got things set up and ready...The teachers enjoyed their back to school breakfast! It was so nice to see everyone and hug them! They are amazing teachers and Goshen is so lucky to have them all!
I stayed most of the day working in my littles' classrooms...organizing,,,,labeling...making name tags. It felt so good to be in their rooms..helping...knowing in some small way I helped get the room ready for their first day...that some little piece of me would be in the room when they got their tomorrow.
The room before the kids come in...is full of possibility! Notebooks waiting to be filled with thoughts and ideas...pencils waiting to be used...it's going to be a great year for everyone!
the hustle and bustle of back to school
I spend the day before school starts at school so my last day with the kids is the day before...the day before school starts! There is always a lot to do and we are busy as can be...running last minute back to school errands mixed with fun stops too!
Our day began with a summer bucket list item we had been wanting to do...go to Doughnut Kastle for breakfast! We had never been!
Believe me...the pleasure was ours!!!They were delicious!
After ballet registration and an office depot stop we went to Homemade Pie Kitchen to get treats to take to the teachers for Open House night tonight.....
The littles chose cupcakes...which we tied with a bow and wish for a sweet year!
Sarah Kate had a back to school party with Mrs. Ann at Fuzziwigs Candy Factory!
We are so blessed to have Miss Ann in our lives! She taught Sarah Kate to read this year when that was all SK wanted to do! We are really going to miss her...thank goodness she lives on the next street over!
Lila and the boys had to check it out too! What a fun place! We all left with a bag of our favorite candy! They have a vat of pineapple gummy bears! I was in heaven!
After baths we gathered the boys school supplies and headed to Goshen for the boys' Open House! The school was all a buzz with people so excited for a new year!
Rollins was so excited to meet Mrs. Davis....isn't she precious! She loved his shirt...Mrs. Davis Rocks!
Rollins and Braden are going to have an amazing year together! We are so lucky they will be in the same room. Braden is coming off his seizure medication this year so his chances are high. With Rollins being his seizure buddy it just makes us all feel better! Rollins would lay down in front of a train for Braden....the love is deep and true! Then we were off to Mrs. Gaynor's room with Riggs! He and Colin were so happy to be together!
Mandy still can't believe Riggs and Colin are in the same class...she is a little worried they will be spending too much time together. She died when we walked in and they were sitting together as well! Riggs, Colin and I loved it though! They are such good boys...and true to the heart friends...they will be just fine!
Colin had to head off to soccer but Jenna and I took the rest of the kids to supper at Five Guys!
Then we finished with treats at 32 degrees !
We savored the last sweet moments of our summer.....
truly we did....riding our bikes until the sun went down!
They asked and Jenna and I said yes to the last sleepover...tomorrow night would be a school night!
She took the girls and I took the boys!
Root beer cheers to the last night of summer!
It's been a good one!
It's been a good one!
The day was busy...but fun! It's the hustle and bustle of back to school!
