It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

Goshen Fund Run

Every year we have a Fund Run at Goshen on Fall Festival week. It is a big fund raiser for the school......but it sure is a fun way to do it! With rain in the forecast we brought in inside this year but the kids didn't miss a beat with the change!
It was Riggs' last fund run.....(everything is so bitter sweet this year with him). Instead of running like a crazy man to get the most laps in the school...he walked and chatted, and laughed with his buddies.

Sarah Kate's class is just pumpkin pie cute...they are just so full of energy and happiness!

They were so proud of their laps!
Rollins and his class were on a mission to do as many laps as they could!

Mrs. Noon gets them fired up and passionate about everything they do...I love her so much for that!

It was a fun, successful day of fundraising and the kids were so proud! I am so happy to be a part of such a wonderful day! Now on to Fall Festival!

Goshen Fund Run!

Today was the Goshen Fund Run! It is the kick off of our fall festival and a wonderful, fun, fund raiser for our school! The kids love it! They love the DJ and they love doing something for the school they love so much! Riggs and Colin made a pact to stay together!
 They had a ball!
 They did lap after lap!
They completed 28 laps...the most in the school all day long!
After their 20 minutes of running they all get a little free time with the DJ to dance and have fun! Look at those happy Goshen Gators!
Rollins had a great time doing his fund run too! His class is too cute!
Rollins and Braden tired so hard! Rollins did 20 laps!
This was a first for SK! She just loved being outside on this beautiful day with her new friends!
The kindergators are so little......so sweet!
SK was proud to complete 10 laps!
We celebrated with a round of hot dogs at the hot dog stand at school!

Goshen FUNDrun!

The boys participated in the fund run today! The cool, fall weather was right on que and this outside event was so much fun for the kids and so great for the school. I can not say enough good things about Goshen Elementary. I love this school with all my heart...and with my volunteering in both classes, being room mom for both classes, being on the PTA, and all the extra stuff...I am there quite a bit and I love every minute of helping and giving back to this amazing school.  The girls and I went together to cheer on Riggs in the morning. The kids came out and were so excited and happy and it was so touching for me to see the runner emerge from the class.  The kids gathered around Riggs and talked to him about the run they were getting ready to do. When the DJ announced that it was time to start many kids said "Riggs it's getting ready to start!" . As a mother, I can't tell you how long I have waited to see something like this for Riggs and how good it felt to see him smile with a shy pride as he walked to the starting line.  Things may change...that I know...but for today Riggs was not in limbo in the world...he had a place and it felt good...today he was the runner. And the runner did not disappoint!

Riggs ended up doing 26 laps...the most any one did in the school.  He never said a word but his smile said it all!

Rollins Alexander held his own today too...completing 20 laps! That is amazing for a first grader and I am quite sure he was a cutest gator on the track! He went out there all smiles and gave it his all...just like he does with everything! So amazing that the boys had so much fun and did so well.....now to write the check to Goshen for how well they did! ;)
