Valentine's day 2013

In the hustle and bustle I forgot to blog our Valentine's Day! So here is a recap...

We started our day with cinnamon rolls made with love......

Daddy gave flowers to the girls.....

 and socks to the boys!

 Moma gave swim suits and flip flops.....

and of course a heart shaped box of chocolate!

 It was a school day so I sent the kids off with Valentines suckers I had made for their snack as a treat....

and the Valentine's parties were in full swing.......

I soaked up....savored....and poured my heart into Riggs' last elementary school party .....ever.

We found a valentine idea he was happy with......

and I asked each child in the class to write positive adjectives about each other...and I put every adjective on a heart shaped puzzle...the result a heart full of love from their own class mates! The kids loved seeing all the wonderful things their class mates saw in each and every one of them!

I loved every second on this elementary style fun....and I think he did too!

 Rollins' party was so fun too! He is my little love muffin!

and the Firsties loved Valentines Day too!

They sure loved their Valentine monkey party favors! I told them I was "Bananas for them"! :)

It was a great day...from beginning to end. Full of love...full of happy.We may not have a lot this year on Valentines day...but we sure have a lot of what matters....

I mean what is Jack going to do with a card with heart stickers on it?

Valentine preparations

I have my littles Valentines gifts and cards.......I have my husband a heartfelt Valentine gift....I have tracked down and transposed about 90 Valentine messages into Videos for the kids school parties with photos...I have wrapped 90 alligators with handmade tags that say  "Have a snappy Valentines Day" for all the Goshen gator class party favors. I have prepared 90 valentines for my littles to give to their friends...I have 90 Valentines boxes and the stickers and jewels to decorate them...I have pin the heart on the Doggy, Valentine Bingo, and 90 conversation heart airplane kits...I have the book called the Mysterious Valentine and 90 mysterious Valentine puzzles...and 90 big, beautiful scratch art sets...I have 5 teacher gifts wrapped and ready...and special snacks packed with Valentines in them for the kids school snack tomorrow. I have a heart shaped pizza ordered and  my day clear to be at school all day long to host 3 Valentine parties for the Valentines I love the most and their classes. Yes...we are ready for Valentines day! whew!

This year the littles did their own Valentine ideas...Sk is giving her friends a heart shaped notebook and Valentine pen.

 Rollins is giving his friends heart shaped mazes and his tags say...You are aMAZEing, Valentine!

 Riggs is giving bouncy balls...

 Lila had her party on Friday and gave out Valentine paint sets...Color me Happy this Valentines Day!

 She loved her party!

 Jeremy came home with a cookie cake tonight...for me to enjoy with my girlfriends!

Watch out...love is in the air!

 She made this precious Valentine Owl...be still my Chi Omega heart!

 I love it that this precious girl has precious girl friends too!

No more pictures of Lila and Jack...but seriously how can you walk into a room and see this and not want to take a pic...oh my goodness... just can't help my self!

She is hugging him but he is truly hugging her back! I am so overtaken with how cute it is I forget that he is not supposed to be on the couch! 

These two truly are something else.....two peas in a pod.....

She even has a shirt that says who her Valentine is......inside that pink heart it says one name and one name only....JACK.

We did it up right...this day of Love! I packed lunches in Valentine baggies...with heart shaped peanut butter and jellies...and a love note from mom tucked inside!

 The boys loved their Valentine presents this morning and their favorite was the new shoes...Go Cats!

 And it was love at first sight for the girls with their new purses...by far their favorite Valentine gift from us!

 We partied at school...the boys sharing the love with their amazing teachers and classes.  I made videos for their classes and for Braden and Julia's classes too....I asked for the parents to send in Valentines' day messages for each child....and so I put almost 100 messages into these 4 videos....each message from the heart and so precious. With the editing...I watched each video so many times...too many to count...and each time I got teary...one thing is for sure...these kids at Goshen are Loved...loved....loved.

 And then it was home...and we were in love with the warmer temperatures....the kids ...and Jack playing outside....

 and I was in love with their outside, sweet giggles....oh how I love the laughter of a child and when the laughter is my own child it is all the more sweeter....

The Timmerings loved us with a yummy heart shaped cookie cake!

 And the girls were so excited to get a bath and put on their new Valentine pajamas from Bumpa and Grandpa and read their new books!

The request for dinner was pancakes and sausage...and the pancakes were shaped likes hearts for my loves!

After a long day...of putting in his resignation for Stryker and accepting a new job with Zimmer..daddy finally arrived on the scene...with roses for his baby girls, candy for the boys, and a beautiful dress and necklace for me!

 I put the necklace right on...and it touched my heart....literally!

 Lila had to have one more Valentine sucker before bed...and why not it is Valentine's Day...and she is sticky sweet! ;)

I do heart this day...this day where love is the center of it all...and you freely give and receive love without hesitation. I passed strangers in the halls today at school and smiled and told them Happy Valentine's Day...and they smiled and returned the words ....and they meant them...they were not hollow but from the heart...so Happy Valentine's day to everyone...may you carry the love you felt today in your heart for days and days and days!
