We celebrated Jeff's 40th birthday today...I made him a video of his life and it was really cool to watch him as he watched it...he teared up and it was awesome to touch him that way and be able to do something special for a guy who is hard to buy for and who rarely shows emotion. We all seemed to feel the void of Papa today as we saw his face and his smile on the screen...it still hurts that he is not here with us and it is times like today that you just wish he was here to hug. And that makes you appreciate Mama even more and the time we have with her....she is so precious! Later we went to the Timmerings for pizza, smores and fireworks to get in the spirit of the 4th! Here we discovered that Lila and Sarah Kate are scared of fireworks this year as they screamed in terror as the explosions began! Sadly I left the party and brought them home for baths and jommies...but as we cuddled on the couch with the fireworks going off all around us outside....I was happy again.
