With all the hustle and bustle of back to school I forgot to blog our day on Patoka Lake!
Pakota lake here we come!
There were large, plentiful fish at the dock so the kids were excited about the fishing possibilities!
Today was a summer bucket list item...one day on a pontoon! We went with the Timmering gang and the littles were so excited! We strapped on our life jackets and got ready for a fun day!
Jeremy was on call and had to stay behind for the initial voyage of our pontoon...it was like a movie....can't you hear the heart wrenching music as we slowly pull away from the dock...leaving daddy behind....
But we made the best of our beautiful day! We fished.....
napped....
snacked...
and just had the best time being together!
Riggs loved driving the boat!
and I loved just being on the boat...moving....the breeze blowing....and taking in the last of summer.
When we finally stopped...in we went....
Everyone held on at first...remembering those big buba fish at the dock and thinking about them nibbling at our toes!
But soon we forgot all about those fish....and enjoyed the lake oh so much!
and we got the call to come back and get Jeremy....and finally our day was complete! We just had the best time...truly we did!
I hope I never forget the sound of the boys laughing...their giggles so full of summer bliss!
and the day ended too soon for us...but we returned our boat and packed up to head back home!
It was a fun summer memory for sure....thank you Pakoka Lake!
