It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

a summer night in June

On this night the Tardy boys headed off to dinner with Gran Gran...the Tardy girls headed off to a Teen Beach Movie party.......

and the Tardy parents headed off to Boots, Brews and Barbecue at the track!
It was such a beautiful night....even cool for a summer night!

It wasn't long before the jackets went on!

This night was so fun....and much needed for sure!
We made memories and laughed so hard Jenna and I almost peed our pants!

Something about the track and this crew is always a fun time! A night at the track with them never disappoints!

Pirate Meet 2015

It was time for the annual GOCC Pirate meet! I got my Little Pirates ready!
and off we went for our last home swim meet of the season!

I loved seeing SK and Julia help with the National Anthem this meet. With the 4th coming up we are more in love with the red, white and blue these summer days for sure!

We are all so proud...and surprised really... by Lila and her swimming.

She just started to put her face in at the end of the summer last year and here she is scoring points for the team this summer! The Grandparents and Big Brother came to see her do her thing this meet so that was fun for our Beanie!

Sarah Kate enjoys every meet mostly because she enjoys her friends so much!
But a heat ribbon for Breast stoke tonight was an added bonus!
and Rolls swam his heart heart...all the way to event number 76! It was a long but fun summer night!

Maddox

When we found him in the mulch at the new house, I looked at him and though he was cute. I wasn't crazy about him living in my new sink at the time but after he got a home of his own I was totally fine with having him as a new addition to our family! Little did I know we would all fall in love with him!

He is tiny...the size of a nickel....but we love him big for sure!

 Welcome to the family, Maddox!

Mystery Practice

GOCC Summer Mystery Practices are always fun!
Lila Ray loved the diving board contest the best for her practice!

SK...well, she enjoyed getting down and dirty with some chocolate pudding!

They screamed with the delight and enjoyed every second of it!
 So Messy! So Fun!

How are we doing?

We have nothing....no house...no decorations...not a lot of clothes...very few toys...just not a lot of stuff....and yet....what we have found is we still have everything. With our friends and family present...it's all we need. But the journey to that understanding was a road full of lots of things.  Little discoveries.... that together...add up to happiness.....
In the last 5 months I have found that these 3 are truly sisters.....through and through
this dog loves me with his whole heart......
 these 2 are best friends......
lots of Hardys  can sleep in one bed......and I am fine on the couch......
Christmas traditions can be shared.......

you can put Christmas anywhere....hang it on the wall...but the most important place to put it...is in your heart.....

After 5 months any couch can be yours enough to nap on.....

it's ok to take a bath with a dog.....
breakfast truly is the best dinner.....
laughter is the best medicine......and sometimes a quiet house is over rated.....
It's all about friends and family......doesn't matter what you are doing...whose team you are cheering for....just as long as you are cheering together.....
We are learning and growing...in a good way.... through this and so that is always a good thing! Every day is an adventure and some days are harder than others for sure...but we are getting there....one day at a time.

Countdown to 9

It's hard to believe that this little girl will be 9 in just a few days..her last year in single digit land for the rest of her life. Although it seems like 9 years has flown by...in some ways she seems so much older than 9. She is wise beyond her years...an "old soul" I would call her. She sees the big picture, this one. Mrs. Parrot called to tell me that she spent her recess picking up trash on the playground...for no other reason than it needed to be done. Her heart goes out to those in need and anyone having a rough time on any given day. She is lovely....and brilliant....and I love being her moma! She wants another surprise party this year so we can't wait to fill her in on the celebration when the time comes!

PTP Game Night

Every Thursday I am cheering on the North Oldham Middle School boys basketball team...but not this one. This Thursday, Jeremy went to the game I attended PTP game night with SK. She was the host for the game Spot It. She taught group after group of parents how to play.
She was an excellent teacher for sure!
She was so proud....and so happy to be here. I am so glad it was me who got to share this with her!
It was a fun night with her friends as well! Great job girls!
