Pumpkin Patch

It seems that October has gotten away from us...and we never made it to the pumpkin patch in Shelbyville that we had hoped to get to...but the farmer up the road has pumpkins from the Shelbyville farm so this afternoon we loaded up and headed up there for every Hardy kid to pick their pumpkin!  Choosing a pumpkin is a big decision and they always look for one with a good stem because that is an important pumpkin trait to Daddy. So when we arrived they all took off in different directions in search of the perfect pumpkin! It was easy for Sarah Kate..she went right to hers and it was love at first sight! After taking it to Daddy for approval she was set!

 Next Lila found hers...a smaller pumpkin that was just right for her..... and after a careful comparison between two very perfect pumpkins...Riggs finally settled on his!

 

Rollins is always the last to choose but he settled on a short fat one that he was very proud of! It was a successful trip to the pumpkin patch and we can't wait to carve them! Jeremy loaded them in the back of the truck but Lila Ray insisted on having hers right in her lap....and she held it all the way home!
