Goshen XC begins!

This week Goshen XC officially began! It was so nice to go to Creasy and see old friends and new faces...all excited to be there for one reason or another......some to be back and other to check it out!

On Tuesday we stared the season with the Turkey trot....

I was there as they entered the woods playing Lady Gaga...Edge of Glory...the kids thought that was fun!

As Riggs entered the woods for the first time...XC officially began in my heart!

On Thursday they did the Rumble and Riggs and Rollins both did so well! Riggs came out of the wood behind Brant and Nicole....

Brant and Riggs got drinks and came and cheered on the other runners...love that!

Colin was trying really hard too....Rollins thought he was really something because he was not too far behind him...see them back in the wood in the picture..Jeremy in the blue shirt and little Rollins right beside him in the white shirt.

I had Gatorade slushies waiting for them at the end of practice!

On Saturday...the practice was brutal....seriously there were many kids crying. It was hot and they ran hard and long....

Riggs even challenged Nicole in this one...he was secretly proud of that..she's in 7th grade, you know....

I had oranges slices and watermelon and a lot of praise for them as the practice ended.
The first week is behind us and it feels good to have the season underway! I am so proud of both Riggs and Rollins for trying so hard this week! So here we go..bring it on!
