It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

Tom Sawyer Triathalon

Something  about the boys and triathlons brings rain...every time. This morning was no different....were signed up for the E.P. Tom Sawyer Kids 4 Kids Youth Triathlon and woke up to buckets of rain!
We went anyway! The boys were so excited...so inspired by Iron Man in training Daddy! Riggs and Rollins got numbered up..and ready to go!

We walked over to see the pool....it is a whopper..Rollins was a little nervous when he saw how long it was...but I assured him he had gone that far in his swim team relays...
I pulled out my I love Riggs and Rollins shirt for the occasion! I don't wear it often...probably not since I had Sarah Kate...but this was the perfect occasion to bring it back out!
Jeremy and Mark were happy to be there...talking about Iron man...and sharing their boys doing this youth triathlon together.
Soon the triathalong began and the boys were in the water!
Riggs had a great swim and in no time was out and headed to transition 1!
 followed closly by Rollins!
Parents are banned from the transition area...so the kids have to do it all on their own..the shoe tying...the helmet buckle....and it seems to take them a painfully long time! ;)
But soon they were off on their bikes!
Rolls was a little teary here...a little frustrated with his shirt....those arm holes seemed to have a mind of their own!

 his tears didn't last long...
Finally the run began and Riggs was so excited!
Right at the finish line, however, this kid head butted him....it was so strange but he did! He knocked Riggs completely off the side walk so when he crossed the finsh line he was crying. I hated that it happened...right there at the end to ruin his moment...but it did! Riggs came in second in the run...head butter came in first....( that little you know what!)

Then came in Rollins...going as hard as he could! He came in fourth on the run!
It always feels so good to cross that finish line!
After brotherly high fives and "good jobs!" we headed to Bob Evan to celebrate with breakfast!
It was a fun morning and we are so proud of our boys!
