This morning we officially got the keys to our Porsche....
a beautiful 911 Carrerra S......
the guys were so excited.......
and why not....what a fun, amazing way to start your day!
For my husband......it was love at first sight......
I got my Audrey Hepburn on......
and we set off on the adventure of a lifetime......
driving....top down....and soaking up the breathtaking beauty around us...as we passed sleepy little villages nestled in the mountains.......
majestic mountains....the pics just don't do it justice...it's like Chris said...being there is like seeing it in HD...and the pictures can't capture that.....
first rests stop...and the kids were on my heart...so I bought them Gummy Bears...the homeland of the Gummy bear is Germany, you know!
Soon we were at the Rheinfall....I have been to the Rhein River and cruised it and heard the mermaid tales but this was a whole new experience.....
SO glad Dieter and Franzy brought us here on our road trip!
Back in the car we traveled down the road ...once again caught up in the beauty.....
for lunch we stopped at this wonderful place......

We ate outside on the deck and it was awesome...the food...the view...the company....it was perfect!
Moving on...we drove .......
to Grindelwald, Switzerland.......
where we would make the Hotel Regina our home for the night....
We were so happy to be here!

Jeremy joined the boys for a beer and I had a moment in the sun.....
We met up with the Patricks and Franzy and took a hike to the Glacier that afternoon....
and on the way back we ventured through the International Land Art festival!
It rained...and soaked to the bone we headed back to the hotel for a nice warm bath.....with time before supper we headed out to explore the town......
We popped into a little spot for coffee.....
