ballet to cheer

Lila had her last ballet class before her recital this morning!

 and tried her first cheer class that night! She was so excited and happy to be there with JuJu!

 She loved it and Jazz went with us and loved it too!

Baby Ballerinas

The Baby Ballerina class is in full swing! They have chosen a Spring recital piece and costume and have started to learn their dance! Oh it's so much fun to have a little girl!

My Sugarplum fairy

Every Tuesday during December Lila is the Sugarplum fairy in her ballet class. She is so precious as she spins and twirls with her ballet friends! I love watching her!

Happy Halloween at ballet!

Today the girlies got to dress up for ballet class!

 Lila chose to be Lila Ladybug today!

 Boo, Moma!!!

 and a sweet sucker at the end of class for a sweet girl!

She moves

My Lila moves.....almost like there is a liquid inside her.....

 Her movements are fluid and beautiful...and full of whatever she is feeling at the moment....but that is how she is......a passionate little soul for sure.....

 Behind the glass window I watch her....still with her baby round face....that seems to get more angular and less cherub like every day as she grows....

 She listens and tried very hard.....

 and can focus with an intensity that is older and wiser than what her three year old mind should be able to do....

 But she enjoys the movements....and the music as it moves through her little limbs.....

 Tuesdays are dance days at the studio for the baby ballerina class....

 and Lila Ray loves Tuesdays......and the sound of her tap shoes as she jumps....

 it ends with a stamp on her little hand for trying so hard.....

Until Next Tuesday....when I can do it all over again with my baby ballerina!

Halloween Ballet

Today at Ballet the girls...to celebrate Halloween...could come in their Halloween costume! Lila really wanted to go in one of Sarah Kate's old costumes that was a lady bug...but without the wings, you know! 

 She was just precious as the dancing ladybug...warming my heart with ever turn, twirl and tap!

 Lexi was a bumble bee...they were the sweetest bugs around!

Baby Ballerinas

Be still my heart...Lila had her first ballet class today!

 The class is called Baby Ballerinas...and they wear baby blue! Lila was so excited to do it and so happy to be doing it with Lexi!

 They waited anxiously for their teacher to come get them!

 Once inside they quickly fell in love!

 They loved the music....

 the movement...

 and being together!

 They could not have been any cuter!

 After ballet the tap shoes went on!

 What fun to make music with your feet and hands!

 After class they came out all smiles proudly bearing their stamp!

 Oh baby ballerinas....you were beautiful!

 We can't wait to do it again next week!

Ballet recital!

Sarah Kate was fired up and excited for her ballet recital...well...kind of....she fell asleep on the way there!

But she woke up and got ready and it was an amazing show! She was pretty cute too!

 During the show, however, Lila decided that this was in fact her recital, and she danced every number in the isle of the theatre...people all around us were cracking up!

 She was even sure to bow after every number!

 When it was over we all clapped for K-kate and Julia.....and Lila too!

 They were so proud of their show...and so happy to share it with each other!

 We all showered Sk with flowers and love!

 Lila was so enamoured with her costume!

 Even Mrs. Ann was there and was so sweet to get a flower for Sk too!

 It was another happy event to share with the Timmerings!

 And with our wonderful family!

 These are the best brothers to sit through the long recital and be so supportive of their sisters!

 Sk presented Julia with a bouquet and a ballet barbie!

 Julia presented Sk with a ballerina necklace!

 It was a fun recital for these two sweeties! And then we were off to celebrate but that is another post!
