It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

Epilepsy Charity Home

Since Braden has Epilepsy and we love him like our own...it made perfect sense to support the Epilepsy Foundation of Kentucky for the Norton Commons Charity of Homes Event. Today we were on Wave 3 listens promoting the event. Doing good work in the world just feels so good. We all have our struggles...our good days and bad....but there is always time to help others....
The house is beautiful and it's coming right along! I hope we raise a lot of money for the foundation!

It means so much to all of us....especially my Rollins...here is his homework from last week...check out #9:

9. What do you think will be the biggest difference between this school year and last school year?
Learning to be without my best friend. I will worry because he has seizures

Homearama 2011

It was finally here....Homearama! What Bumpa and Grandpa had been working so hard for...and when you walked into Homearama house #21...it was apparent that all their hard work had paid off!
On preview night the house was a flurry of activity...people in and out...happily laughing and looking at this beautiful home!
It was a night for old friends and new friends....
as designers and architects mingles with dear, old friends....

Jenna and I were there to meet and greet...it felt like rush! I made many bourbon and cokes and gallons of sangria!
It was wonderful to see people tell Daryl how impressed they were with the house....
At the end of the night we were all exhausted!  We cleaned up...but were content with the feeling of pride that seemed to linger in the air....
It was a good night...and Daryl seemed to beam....and the light wasn't just from his happiness....
It was like Gene was right behind him...whispering...Good Job, Son.

Red Game

Going to a Reds game was on the list for this summer for the boys! Riggs is really into baseball since he played this spring...he even has a Reds backback for back to school this year. Jeremy and Daryl took the boys tonight they all had fun...minus the long line at the will call window. Rollins came home with a bat with autographs and Riggs came home with a Votto t shirt. The boys had so much fun and other than holiday world that is the last summer thing on their list!
