March Madness

It's March...and you may be hanging a shamrock in your house but in our house we celebrate March with basketball...in a very big way...and it is so much fun! When I flip the calendar from February it just brings a smile to my face...just thinking about all the fun ahead!

It's rushing home from school to throw together a celebration for the first game of the SEC tournament...

It's listening to Coach Cal and hanging on his every word...because although we are celebrating basketball...make no mistake... we are specifically all about Kentucky basketball!

It's cheering...Oh C-A-T-S.....Cats. Cats, Cats...and holding that number one finger up every time we win! Because we are still in...and get to do it all over again!

It's basketball 24-7...it gets in our veins...it's shooting hoops right before bed...in pajamas...

and first thing in the morning...in pajamas...because it is March...it's March Madness, baby!

It's sharing the whole thing with your best friends..whether they eat, breath and sleep U of L...

or if they bleed blue like you....

It's breaking out the game day napkins...

the game day ice bucket...

and wearing the right game day attire from the tip of of your head....

all the way to your bottom.....

It's making game day food like our traditional queso...and making Go Cats treats because you are hopeful you will celebrate a win with every game! And since it's tournament time we go all out and make cupcakes and cakes...because God forbid you chose to make only one..and that was the reason you lost! ;)

It's decorating the kitchen with brackets...and following every game...every day...it's just so fun! This year Sarah Kate and Jeremy are extra hopeful and have Kentucky going all the way...Riggs and I have Kansas, and Rollins went with Ohio State....Lila, my friends, picked a long shot and has US Santa Barbara winning the national championship...but hey..it's tournament time...March Madness...and anything can happen! It's just so fun and we enjoy every second of it...it's something we do together...and something we love! Bring on the March Madness....the SEC tournament was oh so fun..and we are full of happiness and hope heading into the big tournament...win or loose it's a ball....and to all those who bleed blue like the Hardys...Go Cats!!!
