Lila, Sarah Kate and I were rebels today! I was going over to Mamaw's to clean and they had school. Sarah Kate knew I was going and asked to go with me...she knew a shelf of books, a warm lap and a lovely reader awaited her at Mamaw's. Time with Mamaw is truly a gift and so I let them skip school to spend the day with her. It was good for the girls...good for Mamaw who smiled with such tender love when she saw them get out of the truck, and good for my soul to see these precious little girls with the kindest woman I know.
