Go Cats!!!

Today was awesome for the boys! The UK Gam3day came to town with football players, our new coach, foot ball drills, prizes, slides and football fun!! The boys played football with the kids at Shawnee park and that was neat to watch them play with kids they didn't know at all....and to see their faces as they interacted with the cat, Joker, and players like Cobb ansd Woodsen that they know and love from the team! It was an amazing event....especiallly for our little Wildcat fans!

Eclipse

Finally it is here! Jenna and I went tonight to see Eclipse....well really this morning as our show time was 12:41 am! It was a great movie and we enjoyed every minute of it! Thank goodness for 5 hour energy drinks and best friends! We laughed and squealed with the rest of the teenagers! So glad I got to share it with her!

just a night at home...

We are already so busy...with the four kids and all their activities and social functions. Things have been busy this summer but in a different way...so much more time together it seems in the summer and I love it so much! When we are all home together...it is just the best! With the kids playing together! The kids all love music...and to dance...even little Lila Ray will walk around saying "ipod" letting us know she wants music on...and they dance and jump on the bed....Jeremy throws them around and I jump too and we laugh....nights at home are the best!

Luau Fun!

Luau!

The oil spill took away our annual Gulf Shores trip this year....so sad for that! I really look forward to spending that time with mom,Cam and his family and Sandy and her family...and for my kids to have that time with them too. So since we couldnt't beach it we decided to at least get together and so we had a Luau. It was really fun! I think Riggs had the best time! He loved being with Madison and wearing his grass skirt! Mom jumped in the pool with the boys and that was a fun memory too! A good time was had by all!

Mermaid Wishes

A mermaid found Jeremy and Brad in the ocean and gave them each a beautiful purple shell to give to their "little mermaids". Julia Rose and Sarah Kate were so excited by this enchanting tale! We had wished for these shells the day before at the beach and then magically a mermaid granted their wish!

Back Porch

Tonight was the best night of vaca yet! we went to the back porch and had the best meal and the best drinks and then hung out on the beach with the kids.....it was amazing and a night I will never forget...it was just perfect to share such a perfect night with your best friends!

Last Day of Vacation.......

The week with the Timmerings has been amazing....just so fun and we all felt it tonight on our last night....we all felt the desire to keep the feeling of summer beach magic with us.....it truly was a magical trip! We ended the week at Fudpuckers where we had a great meal and held an alligator! We love the Timmerings abd they love us...it just works with them and we are so blessed to have them as friends!

Beach Babies!

The kids loved the beach this year...all four of them! Riggs and Rollins loved playing in the waves and using their nets to catch fish and crabs. The were so proud to look down and see something in their nets...and then come running to show you their treasure with the biggest smile you ever saw! Lila and I spent our time making sand castles for princess and mermaid barbies while Sarah Kate loved being in her ring out in the ocean with daddy the best....I think she was hoping to catch a glimpse of a mermaid! Everyone but Lila Ray had fun on the jet ski this year..she was just too little!

Terrible twos!

Tonight we got our Beach pictures taken....the children were truly beautiful!! and everyone was so cooperative....everyone but Lila Ray! She would not get down...she kicked...screamed....threw sand...would not sit with the kids...stand by the kids...would not leave my hip without screaming! It was a nightmare!I got teary sitting there...i had so many hopes in these beach pictures. These were my beach pictures...the ones of all four precious children that I would have hanging up forever...with Lila as a toddler....I was so excited...and then so sad that Lila had picked this moment to be the sassiest of sassy when she had been so good all week. I sent a silent prayer for patience into the breeze and although she never settled into the bubbly todler I had planned to photograph....the pictures were beautiful and ones I will treasure forever.

Destin-at the Warf!

We had a great time at the Warf tonight! We met up with the Howards and Lila had the best time dancing with Henry. She is so cute and really seems to love music and the stage...she just got right up in front of everyone and danced her little heart out!We ate and walked out on a beautiful pier and then did the bouncies, Merry go Round, and Riggs wanted to do the Zip line...what! My shy little Riggs wanted to climb up a tower and zip across a string by himself...over a lake!!! He wanted to...we let him...and he loved it...after he come off his face was priceless...so fun of pride and I was proud of him too!

Rollins can swim!

Before we left for vacation I had Rollins go to swim lessons...it did not go so well...he was scared and just did not want to go under. On vacation he put on a pair of goggles and the world of swimming opened up for Rolls! He can go under and swim like a little fish! The great thing about that is that he can play with Riggs and Braden in the pool now and doesn't feel so left out...and I extra happy for that and he is so proud of himself! It is so great to see him be happy and confident in the water.

Running

Lila has come so far....from wearing those horrible braces...and physical therapy...there was a time I wondered if she would ever run...and now she does and it makes me smile every time! Yhea Lila!

Bubbles

Life is full and busy at our house...always something going on...but there are some times and some moments when it is like the worls stops for us. This happed today as the kids were outside...all in four different directions...and suddenly Lila asked Riggs to blow her some bubbles...and he did and as they floated up in the air...SK came to join and then Rollins...and there they were...my four beautiful children...laughing and giggling and chasing bubbles across the yard...happpy...lovely children...brothers and sisters....my whole world...,my everything....my dream come true....my wish come true......pure bliss for me as a mother...it is moments like that that you don't want to end but they do....soon Riggs put the bubbles down and grabbed a soccer ball and he and Rollins headed off to play a game....leaving me in an "i am in love with my children coma" that feels so good!

Homemade Ice cream

We made homemade icecream tonight for supper...the sound of the ice cream maker just brings me back to my childhood. I am not sure we made it often when I was little but the memories are fond and the taste is sweet! The girls just sat there watching and waiting for the sound to stop.....when the loud churn stops they know it is ready! They were so cute as they sat up chairs and waited patiently for the sweet goodness of summer that awaited them! Sometimes things just taste better when you have to wait for them. The kids loved it and it made me happy to give them a summer memory. I am not sure what happy memories they will take from their childhood but if I fill them up with happy ones surely they will take a few and carry them in their hears forever.

Crazy Boys

I have to admit that I am so good about letting the kids have sleepovers...and they have many and sometimes there are quite a few kids here. It is so fun and the kids just love to have their friends over! I truly want them to have friends...and real friendships...and know how to be a good friend and that friends make life better! Tonight the boys had a boys night with some of their friends...fun...fun....fun!!!
