Dress up Days

The days of dress up are fleeting...I know it...so I am enjoying them so much these days!

Lila and I went to Bob Evans for breakfast! Just the two of us....girls morning out! Why? Because we could...I know next year this all ends with her and she will be in school all day. I am trying to soak her up while I can! I had the blueberry crepes...she had 3 eggs...and we both had the best time!

I don't want to forget the everyday things...

Like today as I did laundry...as two sweet voices came from the play room.

 Lila and Jazz had a ball playing dress up today...being little girls...changing into costume after costume...

We have only had two weeks of summer but it seemed like the boys were dominating the social time...I felt like I owed the girls a sleepover! So Sk had Abby  ( her first sleepover ever) and Lauren and Lila invited Lexi and we had some girl time at the Hardy house! 

 They were happy!

 Now I feel like we are more even....the balance is hard with four I am finding.....

Dining Divas

Marcia and Amanda have been sending Jenna and I invitations to Dining Divas for over a year now....and we never got to one....but we made a pact that this year we were going! We went to our first one this week...it was dining divas for manis and pedis....wine and munchies and it was so fun! When we walked in the owner said to put "the sisters" in a chair....she was talking about Jenna and I...

I loved her right away!

 It was so nice to sit and relax.....with such beautiful woman...inside and out....to connect with old friends....and new friends alike.

 Jenna and I were ticked from head to toe to be there!

 There is nothing like a night of laughter.....

 to bring you closer together.....as friends....and I cherish these girls so much!

 I feel so lucky to have Cassie as my new neighbor and friend......and I love that she has just jumped right in....we all just love her!

 We headed over to Karems for one more drink before we headed home....we were laughing and enjoying girl talk when "Aqua Man" showed up to our table....Meet Aqua Man! Marcia named him because of his shirt....

 He just settled in to our table.....would not leave.....(oh dear!)

 Here is me scooting Beth's chair closer to mine......she and I are on the same page about Randoms touching us in any way!

 Having him join us was crazy...very funny...and at the end of the night...it made for a funny memory...one I am sure we will look back and laugh about for sure!

 So we had a fun, first Dining Divas and we are so glad we went! We can't wait till next month!

American Girl Tea Party

Sugar and Spice and Everything nice.....

that's what little girls are made of! 

I love my little girls and getting to do girly things with them!  It's always so fun to get dressed up and do something special with them....they seem to just sparkle when we do "fancy" things! Today we got dressed up and headed to Churchill Downs for the American Girl Fashion Show!

 Julie and Elizabeth were so excited to be going with Sarah Kate and LIla Ray!

 We arrived and they were so excited! It was pink and sparkles every where!

 Little girls and tea parties just go hand in hand!

 It was just lovely!

 Lila Ray even won a door prize! A bag of books and 2 mini dolls! It was a fun afternoon and I was so glad to spend it with my sweet girls!

It's my blog and I want to remember it all so let it be noted that Lila started diarrhea at the fashion show and we spent the second half of the fashion show in the potty....got to the car and had to stop at Kroger to go again.....on the way home she just went all over her car seat! So after a lovely girly afternoon tea I spent the rest of the afternoon throwing away car seat covers...doing laundry and cleaning up sh** ! So maybe it's not ALWAYS sugar and spice and everything nice.... ;) but it's a life I love!

Good times

Tonight we had Julia Rose in the house! It was a sleepover night like so many we have...but this night was special! We had a let it loose dance party!

  man was it fun!

 It just feels good to let it go sometimes...it's just good for the soul, you know!

Pumpkin Bread

Pumpkins bread is something I make often in the fall. It is so good and makes the house smell like heaven....it is a scent that when you walk into the kitchen says I love you so much. It is something I make that every Hardy kids likes and I get a hug out of it from Riggs every time.  The girls just love to bake with me so today they helped me make the pumpkin bread...I hope it is something they will want to make for their own families someday...that the taste is good but the memories are sweeter.

What more can you say....I am one lucky moma to have the pleasure and honor of dressing these little girls every day.....it is absolutely one of my favorite times of the day! I also enjoy taking them out in the world...walking into preschool today hand in hand in their Matilda Jane...they were showstoppers!
