Pool party

The Schaffner's had everyone over for some adult pool fun!

 For me...I just knew it was the last of the adult pool party fun so I soaked it up!

 Put Bull was even there... ;)

 The girls laughed and talked about our summers...how much fun we had...how fast it went by...

 and the boys.....

 well the SAE's played basketball in the pool all night and had a ball!

The Schaffner's have a new pool this summer. The kids have been there in different segment this summer...sometimes it is Lexi inviting Lila over..Lauren inviting SK...or Colin the boys...and sometimes all four of them. It has been fun...and although it just seems like another part of summer..I have this feeling that we will look back on the first summer they had their pool with fond memories...although we may not realize how much today.

This was the summer Lila and Lexi learned to swim.....

 and the first summer the boys had a little freedom to hang with friends and a say in their social time....

 and how can we forget them..."All jacked up on Mountain Dew"!!!

We took our first dip in the Schaffner's pool today...Riggs said it was the first of a million!

After Church Brunch

At Church we are doing this series called The Story...it is a series for all ages to go through the bible. We began...as luck would have it...in the beginning. It is a very interesting series full of history but oh so much more.What hit home with me today was the story of creation compared to other theories...and as I listened to it all the one thing that really hit me what that science based theories are based on accident...something happened either fast or slowly but it just happened...just evolved. With God as our creator nothing is an accident,but rather has a great purpose. No matter what I do not believe I am here by accident or that my children are here by accident. I know in my heart that we are here for a purpose...that we all are. We all are a brilliant piece in this puzzle and our lives have meaning and beauty in their own unique way. After church the Schaffners invited us over for brunch.....and I was able to be thankful for the purpose of my path and the path of my friends and family. 

 And you wonder how will they change the world in their own little way.....

 or their own big way......

 and you pray as Momas you are guiding them just enough to let them shine.....and be the change they are destined to be......

Super sleepover

We did it....we had our first Super Sleepover...we have had big ones yes...but this one was super because every Hardy little had their best friend here....and for the first time that included Lila Ray too! Watch out.....she is now officially in the sleepover mix!

We all had the best time! 9 kids...one house....one night....and lots of fun memories! We danced...Riggs was so sweet dancing with Lila.....

The girls had a stage set up...so the divas had concerts, fashion shows, and just so much fun!

The boys headed down stairs for basketball and the girls headed to the kitchen for manicures....

They had glitter from head to toe!

The boys got in on the fun too...and painted their nails blue and white! The girls thought this was so funny!

We eventually settled down for movies....

and popcorn.....Lila and Lexi shared a bowl on this their very first BFF sleepover!

and eventually everyone was asleep....the littlest ones the very last to go.....it was like they wanted to get every second in they could!

aahhhh....sweetness!

Thanks to Jenna we had doughnuts in the morning! It was a great super sleepover! Welcome to the club Lila and Lexi!

Schaffner Christmas

We exchanged gifts with the Schaffner kids today....Riggs and Colin showed up with the same gift for each other! I love that!

 Lexi brought Lila a pack of silly bands...look how proud she is.....

 Sarah Kate got a sponge and a used notebook from Lauren....and everyone was happy!

If you put your heart into the gift...it's the best gift!

Doughnuts with Santa

We headed to the Timmerings this morning for Doughnuts and to spend time with Santa!

 Finally he arrived! Oh I love this man! He is truly full of magic and merriment!

 Baby Caroline went first but then I snagged her right back.....I gotta have my baby fix!

 Then all the children gathered for a reading of Twas the Night Before Christmas!

 look at those little faces.....listening....all sitting with their hands folded in their laps.....precious!

 Then it was photo time.....and time to whisper to Santa just what you wanted! Riggs asked for a battery powered bike, Rollins a go-cart, Sarah Kate an Easy Bake Oven.....and Lila Ray the pink Barbie Camper!

 These two were a trip...back and forth saying..... you go first....no you go first....no you...Santa told them he felt like he was watching a tennis match!

It was such a fun morning! Thank you Timmerings for inviting us to such a special morning!
