OMGoodness! My boy can Run!

Riggs had his first cross country meet today...The Shelby County Rocket Run! We were all so excited...and so nervous! We got to the meet...found "tent city" and waited with the team for the meet to begin. Riggs did a lot of hand shaking as the butterflies grew in is tummy!





Riggs ran his race....and ran his best! He put his heart into every stride!

There were about 300 kids at this meet and Riggs came in 14th! Because he was top 25 he got a medal! We just were not sure how he would do...with the pressure of a real meet and without Jeremy out there to pace and encourage him.....but he was amazing!


And to top it all off...the Goshen boys team came in first overall and were awarded a fabulous trophy! It was a great way to start the season....and so touching to see Riggs radiate with pride for what he accomplished all on his own!
