We, as a family, are settling into cross country more with every meet...it seems to get easier and more fun...and truly we just love it! Tonight we had great weather for a fun meet at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park! When we got there, however, Riggs' smile turned nervous as we realized this meet was bigger than the rumble and that he would be racing against 6th graders...he later told us when the gun went off and the race began that he was scared to death. But he handled it well...and came in 34th out of 600 runners. He got a ribbon for his performance and we were all so happy...and again, so pround of him! It was a big night of believing for Riggs as Evan beat Brant tonight...letting him see that working hard and believing in yourself can make magical things happen.
