It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

a few more days with a kindergator and a second grader....

The end of school is near and I can not believe how much these two boys of grown...physically and sociallY! I look at Riggs and his face is thinnner and his body is leaner and yet more muscular. He seems a little more confident...orders his own food when we go out to eat and looks adults in the eyes when he answers the questions they ask. He is helpful with Lila and just seems to be a little happier....like the world doesn't owe him as much as he thought it did at one time. Rollins has just blossomed...leaving his first year of school as a reader and with a network of friends and experiences that have made him a "big boy". I am so proud of them both.

Brothers

woke up this morning to this....so sweet!

Sassyness!

Today I had Abbie, Julia Rose and Sarah Kate...they are girly girls!!! They got up in my closet and accessorized their bathing suits with heels and wraps and pranced around the house....I still can't believe the fun they have in my closet! I walk up there and want to cry because I hate everything in there...they think it is magical!!

Tonight "the court gang" went out to celebrate Susan's birthday...it was fun to get out and have some adult time. We went to Nappa so I was in heaven with my peanutbutter dessert there!

Playing with Lila Ray

I love to play with Lila Ray!! She loves to play on the floor and have me put her on my feet and raise her up...the smile is too die for!! She is so fun and so full of life...this little girl! She will say "gin, moma"...meaning again, moma...and so we do it over and over. Her laugh is so cute.....a wish come true for sure!

Kinderderby for Rollins!

Derby is in the air! Today was the annual Goshen Elementary Kinderdeby! My Rollins is fast as can be so we were all expecting great things...and he was so excited! He got new "fast" shoes for the big event and he made an awesome horse. All the kindergators came out and walked the post parade and then all the parents got teary as we sang My Old Kentucky Home. And then the races began.....
When it was Rollins' turn he got up the to start line and starting from Riggs' class and growing the student body started chanting....Rollins...Rollins!!! It was so cute...I teared up again and Riggs was so hopeful for his little brother...standing there shaking his hands and chanting for him! Well, Rollins was fast and he was amazing....so fast that he ran out of his new shoes and was beat by a nose...so the teacher said...I will go to my grave saying it was a tie!

Watkins...last day for Sk this year!

Today Sarah Kate had her last day of school picnic at Watkins. It was fun, but sad for me...I feel like she is just not in the right place for her sometimes...Watkins is amazing but she is so smart...the kids in her class are sweet but seem like such babies compared to her. She doesn't have a BFF in her class....she doesn't realize that she is so much smarter and so much more mature than they are...but she loves them all and they love her. I just wish so much she could start kindergaten in the fall. I am really looking forward to her reading tutor this summer...to give her more of what she needs and wants. I am so proud of her!

Riggs Rocked the mile run today

He was amazing!!! He beat his time from the fall and everyone in his class....he was the fastest boy in the 2nd grade! It was awesome to see him shine...and be the best and the confidence he had before, during, and after the race. It is so good for him to have this marker for himself...so we can say to him..remember when you gave it your whole heart and how well you did!

Wow! That's a low price!

There is a commercial on right now...where the customer says "Wow!! tha't a low price!!" The kids think it is so funny! Riggs really gets into it! It is so funny!!

Soccer....for Riggs

Riggs is playing up with Colin this year...Colin and Jack. It has been a frustrating season for him at times. He gets so mad at himself and wants to try so hard...but sometimes he just doesn't....You never know what Riggs is going to show up this season...sometimes he is fired up and playes with his heart and is awesome...other times he shuts down and stomps his feet. Jeremy and I just want him to try...try hard...give it his all....all the time. I know he can do it....I know he can....

rollins...soccer

This was Rollins' second season with the yellowjackets....playing up and doing great! Today they got their medals and Jonathan told him he was a tiger...all heart...on the field and that soccer was his sport!

A Bunny Recital!!

Sarah Kate had her recital tonight! She and Julia were bunnies and they were adorable! It is so fun to see her up there on stage! She did a great job with the number and we all came home and celebrated with a special cake for her...she wanted to put candles on it and sing "happy recital to me" so we did!!

10 years!!!

Jeremy and I went out tonight to celebrate our ten year anniversary! It is so hard to imagine that we have been married for a decade...look at all we have done...we have four beautiful children that are the best thing we have created! We have that sign hanging up in the hall that reads "all because two people fell in love" and I love it...everything we have is because we fell in love...and I am so thankful for our love and all we have!!

Mothers Day 2010

Precious....this day was precious. The day started with four little faces bearing four gifts...then dragging me out to the deck to see a pot of daisies they had planted for me...and four hugs...and too many kisses to count! Mothers day is very special to me...because being a mother is my whole world...it is what I do every day all day. There is no corporate world that I divide my time with...it is me for my kids and that is the life I have chosen to lead...that Jeremy and I want for the children. So when you give your all...your heart...your love...your life to something it is nice to stop for a moment and feel the love.....and see it in their sweet faces.

Derby Day

We all just love Derby! The kids have so much fun betting on the horses...we always just make a day of it! This year Riggs and Rollins were lucky...they picked race after race! Sarah Kate had a different method...she always bet on the horse in pink! This year it was not the best method for choosing and most races sk lost...and most races she cried when the pink horse lost! Poor sk!
