It's the first Saturday in May and that means one thing.....DERBY!!!! In honor of the occasion Riggs broke out his new days of the week socks. So today he proudly wore his Saturday Socks!
We got dressed for Derby and were ready to pick, bet and cheer all day long! My mom loves Derby. I love Derby and the kids have picked right up on this love!
This picture is Derby for me...Gran-Gran's glasses on a racing form!
Jeremy had to go to work for a while...and right about Derby time he was in his office downtown and there is no TV there..so he face timed us and I sat my i phone up on a ladder in the family room and he watched it on his i pad!
Finally the big race was off!
We cheered and screamed for our horses!
In the end the winner was Animal Kingdom! Not one of us had picked him!
As Animal Kingdom got his garland of roses...the kids got their winnings for the day...from the Bank of Gran-Gran!
Lila Ray put her money is her sparkly purse, but then realized Jack had not won any money.... so she placed a dollar under his paw as he slept.
