Thursday of our beach week started out perfectly...coffee on the beach with my BFF! It just doesn't get much better than that!
We took a walk looking for shells....
and about 2 miles later ended up at this log....where we stopped to rest....
when Riggs flipped over the log..it was like the silly switch was flipped too....
Before I knew it Riggs was swirling his shells around in his bucket and announcing it was time to pick "the shell of the day".....
and then cartwheels....
piggy back rides...
crab walk races....
and wheel barrow races followed ....and the kids were not the only ones doing all this stuff!
It was all fun and games until Brad dropped Jenna face first in the sand...
We laughed and laughed....it was so much fun!
It truly was a wonderful morning...one I will remember forever.....
it's like time stops at the beach.....and you can freeze little moments in your heart...and keep them there...i think it's the back drop of the ocean...and the ever present sound of the waves that drowned out everything else....I sit there and watch and it's almost as if I can take pictures in my mind just like I do with my camera....

and the shouts of a football game bring me back to reality.....
shouts of happiness.....and joy!
On this afternoon a Florida Gar was in the ocean...and Brad scooped him up in a net...
and we met Blackie...the alligator that lives a few streets over....
and went to Lamberts..
the home of the throwed rolls....and caught and ate the sweet yumminess!
The night ended with a talent show.....and man are these kids talented! Rollins ran night sprints to showcase his speed!
Riggs told a joke...recited some Walt Whitman and danced.....
Braden...sweet, shy , Braden told a joke too....
Julia Rose cheered....
and Sarah Kate...well she topped it all off with her unique talent....it's truly hard to put into words, folks....
SK put on a song on her iPod she sings in Sunday school called ....Spin....and did butt spins for Jesus....this is true...I can't make this kind of stuff up.....it was GREAT!!!!!!! She was the hands down winner in my book for sure! How can you not win with a butt spin for Jesus routine!?
But we had categories and lo and behold everybody was a winner.....thanks for the prize money, Gran-Gran!
To end the show...the littles all did butt spins for Jesus! We are thinking about trade marking this...;)
and Lila Ray who was too shy to do the initial talent competition.... finally shared her talents too...a high V cheer move....
and her amazing talent of jumping on one foot!
Start to finish the day was full...but oh so full of happy times!
