It's here, ya'll!!! Fall! And with it comes the colors and the leaves...and with the colors and the leaves comes my beautiful backyard and my beautiful children happily setting aside any toy they have inside for a pile of leaves. Riggs was off to Cross Country this afternoon and Rollins hungry for something he could do without his brother spied through the window a small pile of leaves beneath one of our trees...and off he went to make this small pile a bigger small pile.
And then the first jump pf the season...which he invited Sarah Kate to do with him and then jump after jump and smile after smile!
And then squeales and giggles as they threw leaves into the crisp fall air and they rained down on them like magic!
And Lila watched all the while from my lap...unsure of these leaves that crunched when she walked on them. Rollins brought one over to her and chased her with it...using it like a feather to tickle her chin...and she laughed and in a few minutes she joined in on the fun!
It was just a fun afternnon...a celebration of fall, the beauty around us and how lucky these kids are to have each other!
And we came in for dinner...and the house smelled of pumpkin spice.....
