It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

oh such a treat...

We went to bed last night with an excitement in the air...not for a birthday...not for Christmas but for nothing...the promise of a Saturday with nothing to do. No cross country...no soccer...no birthday parties...no lunch, brunch, or dinner...no one to help out..make supper for...or visit...just the promise of being home all day...in our home...together. We slept well..and hard...and woke up with creases on our faces from the deepness of our sleep.

We made breakfast as a family...waffles, sausage and eggs...and with full tummies we went about our day just like we wanted to in our own ways...with contented smiles...knowing this simple day was special.

We kept our pajamas on longer and some of us kept them on all day ...the girls ventured out to twirl in the sun and then retired to the playroom for an afternoon of barbies.

The boys had races. They set up teams and had a roster and raced every race to complete their made up little boy race tournament. After a winner was declared they headed in to watch football on the couch with daddy.

I organized and piled and moved the piles I made and it felt so good. I also held Lila for an hour and a half on the couch...snuggling her sweetness until she fell asleep in my arm for her afternoon nap...pure baby bliss.
look at that sweet face
And as the night came upon us we bathed in warm bubbles and put on fresh pajamas and settled on the couches...together. It was a good Saturday.
