It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

Iron man eve

Those that have done the Ironman say it is like Christmas...the most wonderful time of the year. A gift that stays with you forever. We found our self busy on Ironman eve. There is so much that goes into this "gift"  ! It took hours to organize every transition bag and get it all together but he finally did!

It was still Saturday and XC practice went on. At the end of practice the team presented Jeremy with a sign and cards from all the kids...and lots of cheers of encouragement!

He could barely thank them he was so choked up...so touched...and overwhelmed with love. He is inspired by these kids...he loves these kids...he will carry these kids in his heart tomorrow as he makes this unbelievable journey.
The boys are so proud of him....
the team cheer today...Team Terminator Rocks!

With Ironman squared away he rested for a bit and watched the DVD I made him once more...
One more reminder of who inspires him to swim...
 who inspires him to bike.....
 who inspires him to run....

like christmas eve...he left thigs out that night...but not for Santa...for himself...in preparatoin for a gift he would be givng himself tomorrow...the gift of Iroman greatness.
Before bed he read all the card from the XC kids....
Some made him laugh.....
Others almost brought tears.....
but he read and loved every one....
Goodnight and Good luck!
See you at the finish line, Daddy!

Good luck Ironman

Tonight we gathered to wish Jeremy good luck! I wanted to fill him with positive energy...I wanted him to know we loved him and supported him no matter what. I wanted him to be proud of this journey he has taken...working out 6 days a week for a year for this one event.
We had cake....
 Ironman cupcakes from Carmen's.....
But most of all...we had lots of love and encouragement to give Jeremy!

I made a video for him...and it really touched him. He is so inspired by the boys...our boys...and he has worked so hard for so long. I just wanted to fill his heart with love...that can only help right!?
I was so glad Mark came.....our Ironman 2010
It was a year ago that Jeremy watched Mark do the Ironman...
He saw him complete the dream and run across that finish line...pointing to the sky...up to God...up to his dad...Jeremy was inspired...and moved...we all were...
It was then that Jeremy set his sights on Ironman 2011...and here we are...wish us luck!

He's signed in!

It's official! Jeremy is signed in for the 2011 Ford Ironman! We are all nervous and yet excited! It's been a long , hard year and now here we are at the end of it! Wish him luck!

Boys Movie night

New school year...new friends!
Tonight the boys invited classmates.... which were new and old friends.... over for a movie night. I love getting to know the new boys they are talking about and I love seeing them make new friends!
We had quite the crew even though I never got a picture of the whole group together! They were wired for fun and full of energy!
It was a night to bond with new friends.....
and a night to make deeper connections with friends they already know and love.....
They played...and they played! Boys being boys and having a ball!
 Capture the flag....

Soccer.....

The sounds of a backyard full of boys...it's one I love! They are so full of energy and so full of joy! Just give them a ball and they are happy! Old and new friendships growing with every laugh!

It always feels good to be victorious! I felt just like this tonight...like I had done something good for the boys!
We settled down for popcorn, cookies and drinks as it started to get dark....finally it was almost showtime!

We watched Mars Needs Moms.....

As true darkness settled in we did smores too!

It was a fun night! I loved seeing the boys so happy and I am so thankful for the friendships they have found in their classmates!
