It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

Last day...do over

It was our last day at the beach...

and we drank up every last drop of it's loveliness....collecting the last of the sea shell for this trip....
building the last sand castles.....
enjoying the salt water waves and hoping you will remember how they feel until the next time....

I have said it before...I, like all momas, believe my children are beautiful...inside and out..but at the beach..their beauty seems to shine...I think it is the beauty I see as they take it all in....all that surrounds them...and the carefree smiles that vacation can bring too....

We explored one last time...
and then we said goodbye to the beach...
and headed back to the beach house.....

We rinsed off...and started thinking about packing...our things littered in every room of the beach house....books, clothes, dolls,...so many things to get back in our bags...
but you know what we did...we had lunch and went back to the beach..we could pack later...now we were still here...here in this vacation that was over in a blink...so we took the last fleeting moments and enjoyed them with joy in our hearts...rather than our morning that was etched with the sadness that goodbye brings...

Lila and I even celebrated her birthday a little early with a sand castle birthday cake...we sang and blew out her stick candles...and made beach, birthday wishes....

There....that happy goodbye was better...better for the soul!

After one last dip in the pool...we went in...but happier this time....
We pack up..and headed to our new favorite place...Ocean's...... for supper...they have the best fish sandwich ever!
and they feed a stray kitten.....who wouldn't love a restaurant like that? He has a bowl right by the front door...
Not only is the fish amazing...but the drinks are the best ever....the sweet tea-tini is a must have!
And shut up right now...cause the pina coladas are made with real vanilla ice cream...and man are they special! It was the perfect ending to a truly wonderful Beach trip!
