It's the little things that mean the most.....

When I pray for these children my prayer is for them to have kind, loving hearts....this is our life...our journey...our Hardy Hearts....

Christmas Eve at Bumpa and Grandpa's

When we walked in the door you could smell them....
Bumpa's snickerdoodles! She said she was not making
them...but she did and Jeremy was so happy! Christmas
Eve at Bumpa's in always special and fun...it's the end of the day and the anticipation of Santa is in the air..you can feel it!

Sarah Kate stood on her tippy toes and peered at the counter to see at the goodies!
Lila  Ray made Uncle Gary's day by reaching out for him and letting him hold her for a few minutes.
We opened presents and I could put a thousand pictures of Lila on the blog...she was just precious...so joyful to open all her gifts and so excited about what was inside.
Sarah Kate could not believe her eyes when she opened a pink Beetle for her beloved Barbies...this is her dream car and she was beyond excited!
Rollins was all smiles when he opened his Tebow jersey!
Riggs was happy with all his presents but really loved the football grandpa got for him and Rollins to share...he promptly found a sharpie and let the world know who it belonged to...it was cute...he was so proud of it!

As the presents came to an end for the kids...Bumpa brought in a Barbie Dream House for the girls...doesn't every little girls remember the Christmas they got the Barbie Dream House?!
Mamaw watched with the biggest smile as the grand babies ripped and tore open packages! Just having her in the room is a Christmas present!
We took our annual Christmas Eve picture of the December Christmas babies on the steps...they are getting so big so fast...both just turning 5!
It was a happy night and one I am sure the kids will remember forever...I know I will. I sat back and soaked it up...watching them in their excitement and happiness.I think this is one of the things I love the most about Christmas Eve at Bonnie and Daryl's....it is not my show but yet my children and Ryan and Reagan are the stars...and I can sit back and watch it unfold...take it in...breath in Christmas and all the magic it brings!
The funny thing is that after they opened all the presents...all the new toys...all the money spent...the new things sat in piles and the cousins delighted in playing with empty wrapping paper roles...for at least an hour!
The girls did put on their new hats...and they were to die for!

After baths and Christmas joms we came down and looked out the window to see the first snow flakes falling!
We settled down and watched The Grinch....the last Christmas movie on our to do list.
And Lila wanted a closer look at Bumpa's Christmas village...it is just magical!
And then it was time to go....and the snow was coming down...and it was going to be a white Christmas..and that is just special..making this wonderful night perfect!

We warmed the truck for the littles...gave hugs and thank yous and headed home to get ready for Santa!
